of magnificent waterfalls in Europe some of the most beautiful in the world. You can find them all on Digitourist !

1. Plitvice waterfall (Croatia)

The Plitvice waterfalls, who doesn’t know them? It’s  probably no surprise that they are top of our list. They are to be found in a national park in Croatia. In this park you can admire 90 waterfalls. But that is not the only thing. There are 16 lakes and there are a lot of animals such as bears, wolves and rare insects and birds. The clear blue waters are the cherry on top for a breathtaking complete picture.

2. Krimmler waterfall (Austria)

Everyone knows that Austria mostly consists of mountains, more than 80% of the country, to be exact. It is not surprising that it has a lot of waterfalls. The most impressive are the Krimmler waterfalls. The water of the waterfall combination falls in 3 steps 380 meters down. It is not surprising that this waterfall combination is one of the most visited tourist attraction in Austria.
There are approximately 400,000 visitors each year. The waterfalls would have a healing effect, according to local stories and legends. By a special constructed walking path you can get very close to the breathtaking waterfalls. (View on map)

3. Rheinfall waterfall (Switzerland)
When you talk about waterfalls and Switzerland , the Rheinfall is always the most fascinating. Usually waterfalls are all about the height, but the Rheinfall is known for its widhtWith 450 ft it’s the biggest waterfall of entire Europe.

Since 1983, the waterfalls and its surroundings in the state inventory of landscape and natural monuments of national importance.

4.Triberger waterfall (Germany)
There is so much beauty to be found in Germany! For example the Triberg Waterfalls. This waterfall is a combination of the symbols of the German Black Forest. They are the highest waterfalls in Germany and around 170 meters high. There are three different paths that you can walk to enjoy the impressive waterfalls. In spring and summer the falls are illuminated by almost a million lights, giving an extra fascinating picture. (View on map

5.Ingleton waterfall (England)

If you are looking for real natural beauty it’s time to visit the northern  part of England.
Yes, they have waterfalls in England! Here you will find the most stunning waterfalls.

The most spectacular is and stays the Ingleton waterfalls.
These are devided into nine major fauna associated areas. Through a 8 kilometer long trail you can admire this beautiful narual landscape in the north of England. Take a day off and visit the Ingleton waterfalls. (View on map)
