1. LES MACHINES DE L’ILE DE NANTES
Two guys Francois Delaroiziere and Pierre Orefice with absolutely crazy imagination met and decided to found the museum Les Machine de L’ile de Nantes and were absolutely successful. Now it is a museum, a huge laboratory, a carousel park, with mechanical elephants spraying water or mechanical dragons spraying fire around. An absolute must visit in Nantes!
2. JARDIN DES PLANTES DE NANTES
The second thing i am sure you want to check out is Jardin des Plantes de Nantes. It is located right in front of the railway station, so really convenient to see. this beautiful garden can very easily compete with some Royal Botanic Gardens in Australia.
3. CHATEAU DES BUCS DE BRETAGNE
Château des Ducs de Bretagne is a fortress with a residential palace, which was built in the late XV century by the last duke of Brittany, Francis II. The entrance to the courtyard is absolute free and has a beautiful view over the city center of Nantes.
4. LE LIEU UNIQUE
Le lieu unique, which is literally translated as a “unique place” totally describes it! All kind of stuff you can find here. Different contemporary exhibitions and also very interesting and different kind of stores, again all free of charge!

For over 30 years, the Planetarium of the City of Nantes offers to discover the secrets of the Universe, during thematic sessions, but also keep you abreast of news and astronautics astronomical.
